| It has always been a tradition for aviators to customize their helmets. Some
recognized their unit but many preferred expressing their personality or a
particular message. The helmets here are those of our crews at
Wings and Rotors Air Museum.
| This helmet belongs to our Huey Pilot Pat Rodgers.
It was painted by Shayne
|This helmet belongs to me (Shayne) I painted it. I wanted to pay tribute to POW/MIA's and Huey crews. I am a bit less conservative then my crew mates when it comes to this stuff, as you can see by the red, white and blue!|
|This one belongs to Frank Tresenrider, who was a Huey gunner in Vietnam. He was assigned to the 17th AHC. When I painted this one for him-it was a surprise.|
