Helmet Art
It has always been a tradition for aviators to customize their helmets. Some
recognized their unit but many preferred expressing their personality or a
particular message. The helmets here are those of our crews at

                  Wings and  Rotors Air  Museum.
This helmet belongs to our Huey Pilot Pat Rodgers.
  It was painted by Shayne
  Meder.
This helmet belongs to me (Shayne) I painted  it. I wanted to pay tribute to POW/MIA's  and Huey crews. I am a bit less conservative then my crew mates when it comes to this stuff, as you can see by      the red, white and blue!
This one belongs to Frank Tresenrider, who was a Huey gunner in Vietnam. He was assigned to the 17th AHC.  When  I painted this one for him-it was a surprise.
