In-flight Photos of the Huey Taken in California over French Valley and Hemet.
Photos by Shayne Meder
These were taken flying around our home base at French Valley Airport
The Huey has a unique profile when hovering, unlike any other helicopter.
I like the detail in this photo, you can see the rocket launcher mounts.
These pictures I took from the OH-58A heading to Hemet.
Helicopters aren't the easiest aircraft to take pictures from, both were going fast and it was bumpy.
In these you can see Frank, one of our volunteers. He was a Huey gunner/crew chief in Vietnam. He enjoys these flights much more and is a big part of our tribute to Vietnam Veterans.
These I took on the 4th of July on our way to a fly-by and landing near Ontario Ca.
Scott Donnell and Steve Main man the guns. Steve's picture I took holding my camera over my left shoulder without even knowing if I had him in it!
Of course none of this would be possible without our highly skilled Pilot Pat Rodgers. He handles the Huey Shuffle with amazing finesse.
